Many people have excess household items, toys, books, clothes, furniture, sporting equipment, etc. and are looking for a worthwhile nonprofit that needs those items. This site would enable nonprofits to create a profile and select the types of items they need from a set list of categories, as well as enable cash donations (via their own Web site) and then have a search function that enables users to select the types of items they have to donate and the type of nonprofit they prefer to donate to, if applicable. Users would then receive a list of matching nonprofits they could contact directly to find out more or arrange their donation.
Historic KC
Historic Kansas City would like a way to make people aware of the buildings we are losing each month to demolitions.
